Dayton Live has announced a free virtual field trip opportunity for area students with the 2021 Grammy Award-nominated BLACK VIOLIN. BLACK VIOLIN enters the student virtual space with an all new, high energy performance that takes their unique blend of classical music, hip-hop, jazz and pop to new heights.

Soprano Sondra Radvanovsky and tenor Piotr Beczała will perform a live concert on Saturday, January 23, at 7:00pm CET/1:00pm ET, from the historic Stadthalle in Wuppertal, Germany, as part of the Met Stars Live in Concert series.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s new virtual series “The Actor’s Craft” offers a glimpse into the process actors use to bring Shakespeare’s characters to life on stage. Each session features a renowned actor talking about the character with CSC Artistic Director Steven Maler and then performing selected scenes and soliloquies. 

New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its New Works Series on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at 7PM EDT, featuring excerpts from the new musicals Our New Town and Elektric. The live 1-hour presentation will also feature a conversation with the writers and creative team.

Every year, the community gathers at The Kentucky Center for a celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Even though we are not able do so in-person due to COVID-19, Kentucky Performing Arts and River City Drum Corp invite community members to a free, virtual event that reflects Dr. King’s vision.
