Classic Stage Company will present Tell The Story: Celebrating Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins. The evening will feature cast members of the original Off-Broadway company, the Broadway revival, and Doyle’s upcoming CSC production.

The Landing Theatre Company is celebrating its 10th annual New American Voices Playwriting Festival, which will once again be presented online.  The festival, presented April 24-May 2, showcases four winning new plays from outstanding American playwrights, and will also include four online panels with top industry professionals.

Kaatsbaan Cultural Park has curated a dynamic program of leading artists from the worlds of dance, music, poetry, sculpture, and the culinary arts for its inaugural Spring Festival. Taking place during the last two weekends in May, the festival will feature 16 presentations on two outdoor stages. 

Theater in Quarantine has announced a new series of live-streamed performances. Running March 5–May 20, the season features new work by playwrights Liza Birkenmeier and Julia Izumi as well as a new adaptation of Tristan Tzara’s The Gas Heart that marks the centennial of the Dada masterpiece. 

UTNT (UT New Theatre), Part Two will present a virtual reading of Community Garden by Renae Jarrett, directed by Kristen Osborn. Community Garden is a meditation on self-searching, sacrifice and that lovely glow you get when you feast on the fruits that grow from the graves of dead husbands.  

Virtual Puppetry Residency will be holding a series of online events to celebrate World Puppetry Day, 2021. On March 20th and 21st, resident artists in the third season of the program will present samples of their work.

The National Philharmonic is continuing their 2020/21 season by hosting two virtual performances this month. First, on March 14, they will stream an encore performance of their Beethoven @ 250 Birthday Bash, which originally opened the 2020/21 season. Then, on March 28, Nat Phil will perform Music That Renews: American Roots.

This week’s episode of Mānoa Valley Theatre’s live streaming video series MVT Live continues with host Devon Nekoba featuring the cast of Popcorn Falls, opening March 18th at MVT. Nick and Brandon will discuss their careers in theatre, adapting to the new normal of live entertainment and what audiences can expect from the show.

Electric Island​ is a new musical conceived and written by Rachelle Rak with music and additional lyrics by Steven Jamail. This developmental project tells the real stories of women working on Broadway: those working hard to go from show to show and aren’t the recognized stars above the marquee. Shining light on women of all ages, ethnicities, and sexual orientations, ​Electric Island illuminates how these performers have navigated the highs and lows of a life in the theater--on stage and off.

Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald never recorded together but they performed side by side on several television specials, demonstrating a divine chemistry possible only between two masters. Tony DeSare has been a mainstay on nightclub, concert and orchestral stages throughout the country for over two decades. Capathia Jenkins is the powerful actress/singer known for her Broadway credits (Caroline, or Change, Newsies, The Civil War) and concert work. DeSare and Jenkins have performed this musical tribute with symphony orchestras throughout the country and are now teaming up to film an intimate piano/vocal version exclusively for The Cabaret Project of St. Louis.

A screening of FirstWorks Artistic Ambassador Daniel Bernard Roumain and dance pioneer Drew Dollaz' collaborative works Our Country and About Face. The screening, via livestream, will be immediately followed by a Creative Conversation with Roumain and Dollaz about their work, which fosters awareness of and conversations about racial injustice.

Award-winning cabaret artist T. Oliver Reid will pay tribute to Café Carlyle's legendary Bobby Short as part of the Live from Adelphi concert series. The live performance will stream on Sunday, March 21, at 5 p.m. and then be available on demand until Wednesday, March 24.
