It occurred to me recently that when Gillian and I talk about 'The Residuals', we naturally focus on the aspects of the process that we're most excited about. This is, I'm sure, as it should be. Recently, the That'll Play Podcast with Matt Candela and John Nuzzi took the show to Broadway for their first live episode from the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan! Matt and John returned to their alma mater to chat with Michael Paul Smith and Gillian Pensavalle about the upcoming second season of The Residuals, which will deubt exclusively on BroadwayWorld next month.

In October, BroadwayWorld's webseries partner THE RESIDUALS completed a successful $20,000 KickStarter campaign to help fund their second season. Soon after, husband and wife co-creators Michael Paul Smith and Gillian Pensavalle began shooting Season Two; which will guest star SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's Horatio Sanz and WICKED and SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH's Jenna Leigh Green. Currently, Pensavalle, who serves as the series' editor, is neck deep in footage, but she took some time earlier this week to update the show's supporters:

After a successful KickStarter campaign, the hit web comedy THE RESIDUALS has wrapped on its second season, which will debut exclusively on BroadwayWorld early in 2015. The series, created by and starring husband and wife Michael Paul Smith and Gillian Pensavalle, focuses on the unusual world of auditioning for commercials. The hysterical webseries, THE RESIDUALS, which will debut it's second season exclusively here on BroadwayWorld in 2015, is currently in the final two days of their Season Two KickStarter campaign. One of their KickStarter rewards, allows the contributor to select any song for creators Michael Paul Smith and Gillian Pensavalle to sing in a 'Dareoke.' For this one, they are singning 'Jackson' by Johnny Cash and June Carter. Check out the videos below, and there's still time to get your own Dareoke in before Tuesday night at 11:59pm.

For one of their KickStarter rewards, creators Michael Paul Smith and Gillian Pensavalle are thanking their supporters in a pretty unusual way. They are making videos for KickStarter contributors that include classic jokes from a 70-year-old joke book edited by Eddie Cantor. Now where else are you going to get that kind of 'Thank You?' And let's be honest, Gillian's reactions are just as funny as the jokes themselves. Check out some of these videos below.

In Season One of THE RESIDUALS, BroadwayWorld's newest webseries partnership, casting director Mark Lyell (SUBMISSIONS ONLY's Mark Gessner) might have come off as a little abrassive, and perhaps bi-polar. However, as the gang preps for Season Two, he is out to prove that he does in fact have a heart, and some other vital organs as well.

Jenna Leigh Green has quite a history with witches. First she played the best friend of one on SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH, then she played one's sister, before taking over as one, in WICKED. Now Green is set to guest star on Season 2 of THE RESIDUALS, BroadwayWorld's newest webseries collaboration. And while she won't be playing a witch, she will be playing a character who could be described by a word that rhymes with 'witch.'

THE RESIDUALS' KickStarter is currently 96% funded, but it's not there yet. So, check out their page and help push them over the top. Recently Gillian said, 'I feel like this is our George Bailey moment. Except that we won't be going to jail if we don't hit our goal.
