For the past 16 years, Vinnie Jones has been Hollywood's go-to British tough guy. Starting with Guy Ritchie's LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING in 1998, Jones has been beating guys up with a British accent for years. Now, he is starring as King Richard's loyal enforcer on ABC's comedy GALAVANT; just don't tell him it's a musical comedy.

The biggest TV surprise of 2015 hasn't been Gina Rodriguez winning a Golden Globe for JANE THE VIRGIN or the success of EMPIRE on Fox, it has been the fact that ABC's new musical comedy extravaganza GALAVANT has been a critical and ratings hit. The show, from the minds of Dan Fogelman, Glenn Slater, and Alan Menken, tells a rather unusual fairy tale, and at the center is the unconventional evil queen Madalena.

After what seems like three years of commercials, ABC finally debuted its new musical series GALAVANT tonight. As I'm sure you know, this eight-episode, four-week 'event' features lyrics by Tony-nominee and Grammy-winner Glenn Slater and music by Grammy, Oscar, and Tony-winner Alan Menken; who seems to be in desperate search for the Emmy to round out his EGOT.

Today I had a lengthy Twitter discussion with a few passionate fans of THE VOICE about the increasingly complicated impact of iTunes purchases on the crowning of a champion. Unlike in previous weeks, there is no iTunes x10 bonus tonight, but the contestants will get cumulative credit for every song sold on iTunes starting with Top 12 week. I wanted to link to the official voting rules on NBC's website, but mysteriously they have taken it down since this morning; adding even more full to the conspiracy fire that always surrounds the finales of competition reality shows. Well, nearly three months after Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton first hit their 'I Want You' buttons on Season 7 of THE VOICE, we have made it to the finale. 70 artists auditioned for the coaches, 48 were chosen for a team, 20 sang for America's vote, and now only four remain with the hope of being crowned this season's champion. Chris Jamison, Craig Wayne Boyd, Matt McAndrew, and the Wild Card-winning Damien will sing tonight.

Tonight, the mammoth Disney Theatricals pulls back the curtain on the eight Broadway shows that they have brought to the stage over the past 20 years. BACKSTAGE WITH DISNEY ON BROADWAY: CELEBRATING 20 YEARS will be hosted by Broadway favorite, and ABC Family member, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and will feature performances by Elton John, Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen (from ABC's NASHVILLE), Ashley Brown (Broadway's original Mary Poppins), Darren Criss (GLEE), Adam Jacobs (Broadway's Aladdin), and more.

Leave it to NBC's THE VOICE to change up their format with little to no warning. One could say that it is in an effort to get (or keep) a specific producer-favorite in the competition, or it could just be a shrewd programming decision to make a normally anticlimactic results show just a bit more interesting.

Ok, things are getting real on NBC's THE VOICE tonight. Five artists will compete in the Semifinals hoping to secure a spot in next week's Season Seven finale. If last season is any indication, two of the semifinalists will be eliminated on Tuesday, but with THE VOICE's track-record of mixing up their format, you can never quite be sure. Case and point, on Tuesday's Results Show, eliminated contestants will have a chance to sing and earn another chance at the title. Will it be just the seven singers eliminated since Week 1's mass elimination of eight? Hopefully we will get some clarification during tonight's episode.

Growing up, my brother, sister, and I wore out our VHS recording of one of Mary Martin's TV productions of PETER PAN. Mixed in between viewings of APOLLO 13 and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, we learned every word to every song, and while I don't remember dancing along with the Lost Boys, there is no doubt that we could have, if asked. I've never seen the musical on stage, so, for me, PETER PAN simply belongs on TV; and producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan spared no fiary dust in creating a magical PETER PAN that reinforced why this holiday tradition should never grow up and fly away. Despite a handful of hiccups that befall many live productions, simply put, PETER PAN LIVE! is a triumph for children young and old.

After a week off to give thanks, the freaks are back tonight on AMERICAN HORROR STORY. When we last left Fraulein Elsa's Cabinet of Curiosities, Penny's father had her face covered in tattoos, Bette and Dot returned to camp to blackmail Elsa, and, after bonding with his son Jimmy, Dell delivered Ma Petite's lifeless body to Stanley.

Tonight is a big night for THE VOICE as Carson Daly will mercilessly eliminate three aspiring superstars; not cool Daly, not cool. As I alluded to in my recap from last night, the rapid elimination of contestants on this show is one of the many reasons that it continues to trail far behind AMERICAN IDOL in terms of entertainment value and audience-competitor connection, despite the fact that THE VOICE continues to lap AI in terms of talent.

We are down to eight singers vying for the Season Seven title on THE VOICE. Thus far, America has been completely unreliable in determining the best singer in the competition. In successive weeks, we have lost two of the most entertaining vocalists in the competition (Sugar Joans and Anita Antoinette) and we have twice seen the singing automaton Ryan Sill receive the Twitter Instant Save.

Tonight, NBC is pulling back the curtain on the upcoming PETER PAN LIVE! As BroadwayWorld recently reported, the MAKING OF PETER PAN LIVE! special will share secrets about the production, including how everybody's favorite fairy Tinkerbell will be created.

You know who I haven't seen on TV lately? That Taylor Swift girl. She used to be a country singer, but she seems to have disappeared from popular culture lately. I wonder what ever happened to her. Well, actually T-Swift is heading back to THE VOICE tonight, this time as a performer. She will reportedly be singing her 'crazy ex-girlfriend' hit 'Blank Space.'

To say that I am a little disappointed with last week's elimination of Team Pharrell's Sugar Joans is an understatement. Though, I admit, she didn't have the best week in terms of performance, she was still one of the best vocalists on the show.

I don't know about you, but I feel really powerful right now. After 16 episodes, THE VOICE is finally trusting the American public to take control of the singing competition. There are no more Battles, no more Knockouts, no more Steals, there is just you, me, and the other 11 or so million people who watch the show on any given week! And it couldn't come at a better time, because last week the coaches really screwed the pooch with their final Saves.

For the first time all season, we will have an elimination show on THE VOICE. After two months of Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockout Rounds, and Live Playoffs, we finally get to see what America thinks of the 20 remaining singers.

With one night down in THE VOICE's Live Playoffs (read my review of last night's show here), the teams are taking shape, but, as of yet, no one has blown the doors off the joint. Tonight, rookie coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams will send their singers to the stage to perform for a live national audience for the first time.

Great googly moogly, after three and a half years of THE VOICE taped shows, we are finally going to have a live episode of NBC's singing competition show. Now that we are through the Blind Auditions, the Battle Round, and the Knockout Round, the show is now live and America has a chance to vote on its favorite artists.

When I was a child, I loved drawing pictures; despite the fact that it was very clear that I had little to no artistic ability in this arena, I continued to draw anyway. Whether it was a sunrise over a mountain with little “V” shaped birds flying towards the horizon, or a sunset over a beach with little “V” shaped birds flying towards the horizon, I kept drawing. However, every time I would get to the point when the picture had just enough detail, I would think of something else that it must have before it could be considered complete. So, I would add more pine trees on the mountains, or umbrellas on the beach, until my canvas piece of paper was so overcrowded with stuff, that it was hard to see the forest through the trees, often literally. This has been my major complaint about the genre-defining (and defying) anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORY from the beginning.

We are halfway through the Taylor Swift experiment on THE VOICE, and the new queen of New York has honestly been killing it. From vocal arrangement to on-stage swagger, T-Swizzle has demonstrated the insight and attention to detail that it takes to make it as a pro in that business.

All right, after two weeks, the Battle Rounds are finally over on THE VOICE, now we can get to the real competition... wait, what? There is still a whole other round before America gets to vote? No wonder I always lose interest in this show after the Blinds, it takes a year and a half just to get to the actual voting rounds. That being typed, at least now the artists get to pick their own songs.

I took last week off from reviewing HOMELAND, because, to be honest, I was rather disturbed and disgusted by the final scene. I wasn't sure what to make of it; was Carrie's sexual advances on Aayan the cold and calculating maneuvers of a master manipulator, or had Carrie fallen so far from the confident espionage genius that she once was that she felt the only way to regain some control over her life was to exert her sexuality over some unexpectant prey? While Aayan clearly was not telling her no, the entire act felt dirty and, at some level, non-consensual to me. So, I was anxious to watch this week's episode to see how the show would spin the decision to have Carrie bed the former med student.

I was fortunate enough to have screeners of the first three hours of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW sent to me by FX, so that means that my reviews of those episodes (Episode 1 and Episode 2) are as well-thought out and developed as I could make them. However, I began to think that one of the most entertaining elements of the horror genre is being able to share your shock and disgust with other people. So, since FX did not send out screeners for this week's episode, I decided that instead of writing a lengthy analysis after tonight's hour, I would live-recap it, and hopefully be able to share those feelings of fear and enjoyment with all of you electronically.

We've been through 18 Battles so far on Season Seven of THE VOICE, which means tonight we have just six performances left in this round of the competition. If last week is any indication as to how this will play out, we will see three performances, and the other three will relegated to highlight clips.
