Tony host Hugh Jackman is joined by Tony nominees Lena Hall, Sarah Greene, Audra McDonald, Andy Karl, Jefferson Mays and Bryan Cranston in an all-new promo for the 68th Annual Tony Awards.

Very few stars have had a career that rivals that of the remarkable Harvey Fierstein. A seven-time Tony-nominee, he has two acting wins (TORCH SONG TRILOGY and HAIRSPRAY), one for Best Play (TORCH SONG), and one for Best Book of a Musical (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES). He also has three other Best Book nominations (A CATERED AFFAIR, NEWSIES, and KINKY BOOTS). In addition to being a phenomenal writer and actor, Harvey is also one of Broadway's most outspoken activists for the arts and equality, making him Broadway's Unofficial Mayor!

CABARET preparations are well underway for the 2014 Tony Awards ceremony this Sunday! Cues were set, entrances timed, and performances streamlined during rehearsals today, June 5, at Radio City Music Hall, and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there to capture interviews with the stars and creative teams. On Tony Awards Sunday -- June 8 -- CUNY TV will present 7-1/2 hours of glorious Broadway interviews related to this year's nominated musicals, plays, and individuals - from 12:30 p.m. right up till Tony time (8 p.m. on CBS).

The committee has just revealed on the show's officialy Twitter page that the awards have safely made it to New York, with the caption: The #TonyAwards have arrived!; and the photo below. Check it out!

Along with Theatre in the Park, Playmakers Repertory Company and ABC 11, DPAC hosted this year's Triangle Rising Star Awards onstage on Sunday evening, June 2. The Triangle Rising Star Awards (TRS) is a program that brings together area high school musical theater students to perform together and compete against one another for educational scholarships. Last year's winners, Sam Hamashima and Anna Higginson, presented the awards for Best Actress and Best Actor, while awards were also given for Best Ensemble and Best Musical.

The Theatre World Awards are presented annually at the end of the theatre season to six actors and six actresses for their significant, reviewable, debut performances in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production. The ceremony is a private, invitation-only event followed by a party to celebrate the new honorees and welcome them to the Theatre World 'family.' In what has become a highly entertaining and often touching tradition, 12 previous winners serve as the presenters, and often relive moments from past ceremonies and share wonderful stories rarely heard at other theatrical awards. The 2014 Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards ceremony took place at Paper Mill Playhouse on Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:30pm with an audience of over 1,200. Princeton Day School came out on top, winning Outstanding Overall Production of a Musical for their production of Urinetown. A total of 29 awards were presented along with five scholarships and other cash prizes.

There is little doubt who is the reigning queen of Broadway. With five Tony Awards and eight nominations in just 20 years, Audra McDonald has held that title for quite a while now. In addition to her prolific stage career, she also has found time to do turns on TV and have a recording and touring career. If Audra wins her sixth Tony this Sunday, she will become the first actor to do so in the four major acting categories.

It's Tonys week! On Sunday night, the stars will align at Radio City Music Hall to celebrate the best of Broadway. While Radio City is the place to be for all of this year's nominees, most Broadway fans will have to settle for watching the ceremony, hosted by Hugh Jackman, on the CBS (8pm).
