2025 AWARDS SEASON

Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, today announced the nominees for the 2017-18 season.

Friday night at the Edison Ballroom The 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff were presented for excellence in theatrical costume design. These annual awards honor the designers and craftspeople who costume theatre and dance the world over. This year's awardees were coincidentally masters from the world of dance.

The Tony Awards has just announced that this year's Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre will go to industry icons Andrew Lloyd Webber and Chita Rivera.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Martyna Majok's COST OF LIVING has officially won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met on April 12 for the third time this season to decide the eligibility of Broadway productions for the American Theatre Wing's 2018 Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Committee will meet regularly throughout the 2017-2018 Broadway season to make eligibility determinations.

The Tony Awards Nominations Announcement will be co-hosted by Tony and Grammy Award winner, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Katharine McPhee, who is currently starring in the Tony nominated musical Waitress. The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 19 categories for the 33rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST.  This year's event will be hosted by actors Laura Benanti and Jason Jones and will once again serve as a benefit for The Actors Fund.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee will meet a total of four times throughout the 2017-2018 season to decide the eligibility for the 72nd Annual Tony Awards.

Save the Date! The Theatre World Awards Board of Directors, Dale Badway, President, have announced, today, the 74th Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday evening, June 4, 2018 beginning at 7:00 p.m. Theater venue will be announced shortly.
