Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS presents the 15th and grand finale edition of The Broadway Bears, the annual Broadway auction of teddy bears dressed in museum-quality outfits based on original costumes and created by well-known designers.

The one-night-only event continues to grow in popularity and success in supporting the work of Broadway Cares and the Center. Last year's record-breaking $281,200 topped the previous year's total of more than $186,700.

BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7 played Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre last night at 8pm. The show featured some of Broadway's biggest names singing songs originally written for the opposite gender: women singing songs written for men and men singing songs written for women. By keeping the lyrics intact, including the original pronouns, each song takes on a new dimension.

A limited number of $40 rush tickets to the star-studded BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7 will be released for sale at 6:30 PM Monday, March 5, 2012. The rush tickets will be sold outside the Al Hirschfeld Theater (302 West 45th Street) and will not be available at the box office. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, cash only and are limited to two tickets per person. The show begins at 8 PM.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center announced new additions today to the star-studded line-up for BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7, the only Broadway event custom-made for the gay and lesbian community, our friends and families. The one-night-only benefit will now also include Tony Award-winners Betty Buckley and LaChanze (Color Purple), stage and television star Michael Urie (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, TV's 'Ugly Betty') and TV icon George Takei ('Star Trek').

Capezio celebrates 125 years of excellence with this one-night only special show on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 7:00 pm at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (btwn. 6th and 7th Ave) NYC. A glorious production highlighting some of the magical history of Capezio with numerous dance legends and stars of stage and screen saluting this milestone.

Hamic from Les Miserables on Tour.

Tickets go on sale today for the hotly anticipated Broadway Bares, returning for its 22nd edition on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at New York City's Roseland Ballroom to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

In thanks for Radcliffe's fundraising to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (HOW TO SUCCEED topped the Broadway collections this year, and Radcliffe often donated his time and efforts to the cause) the organization donated $50,000 to the Trevor Project in Radcliffe's name. The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) has just announced that its 2011 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will total $1.2 million dollars, marking the largest single contribution in BC/EFA history. The foundation, which is funded by royalties from the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb's vast catalogue of work, makes an annual donation to BC/EFA. This contribution tops last year's donation of $1 million dollars which was, at the time, the largest single contribution in BC/EFA history.

During the final week of Goodspeed Musicals' slick and sexy hit City of Angels, the company participated in a nightly audience appeal. To everyone's delight, this year's fundraising garnered more than $6,500 for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS.
