This year's 10th Anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards (#bwaybackwards), which was held last night at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), featured some of the most memorable numbers from previous years. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefitting BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York, the event was hosted by Honeymoon in Vegas star Rob McClure and Julie Halston. The evening is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York. Honeymoon in Vegas star Rob McClure will share hosting duties with Julie Halston from the current hit revival of You Can't Take It With You.

An extremely limited number of tickets remain available for Monday's 10th anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards, the annual celebration where gays and lesbians experience their stories as told through the great songs of musical theatre and performed by their favorite Broadway stars.

The 29th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will be held at 4:30 PM on Monday, April 20, 2015, and at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Minskoff Theatre (200 West 45th Street, NYC), home to Disney's long-running smash hit musical The Lion King.

It's time to "shuffle up and deal" for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS with Broadway Bets, a first-of-its-kind Broadway poker tournament co-chaired by Paul Libin, executive vice president of Jujamcyn Theaters, and Robert E. Wankel, president and co-CEO of The Shubert Organization. Libin is president of BC/EFA's Board of Trustees and Wankel is a longtime trustee.

On Monday, March 9th, Bar URBO, the stylish cocktail lounge on the second floor of URBO in the Theater District, will relaunch its 'Lights Out on Broadway' series, inviting vocalists and musicians of the Broadway world to perform in a fun and casual environment on their night off. The live music series is free to attend and will take place every Monday night starting at 8 pm. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS fund.

Scott Siegel (Creator, Writer and Host of The Town Hall's Broadway By The Year series) and Maxine Linehan (Star of Beautiful Songs at the Metropolitan Room) present The Songs of U2, a star-studded St Patrick's Eve concert event to benefit BC/EFA. The one night only concert will take place on Monday, March 16th at Birdland Jazz Club in New York (315 W. 44th Street).

BroadwayCon, from IF/THEN star Anthony Rapp and the creators of LeakyCon and GeekyCon, will be the first-ever Broadway fan convention, held January 22-24, 2016 in New York City, and the team just announced the event's first round of guest stars!

Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award winner Lily Tomlin will make a special guest appearance next month in the 10th anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards. Also joining the lineup is Honeymoon in Vegas star Rob McClure, who will share hosting duties with Julie Halston from the current hit revival of You Can't Take It With You.

Hosted by Lesli Margherita (Matilda), the late night #SOBLESSED Live! at 54 Below on February 7th featured performances by Adam Kaplan (Newsies), Joey Taranto (Kinky Boots), Michael James Scott (Something Rotten), Megan Sikora (Like a Million Broadway Shows), Mo Brady (The Addams Family), Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), Ellyn Marie Marsh (Kinky Boots), with special guest appearance by Julia Murney as Jeremy Jordan and musical direction by Drew Wutke. A successful Broadway company manager, general manager and producer for more than 20 years, Peter Neufeld passed away peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson's disease this morning, January 27, 2015, at The Actors Fund's Lillian Booth Residence in Englewood, NJ, where he had been living since 2007. He was 78.

Resulting in 'Swan Song' musical performances. Scheduled to 'play' are Charl Brown, Jessica Hendy, Peter Gregus, Ta'Rea Campbell, Mike Schwitter and Ellyn Marie Marsh.

An evening of duets will take a unique twist as fiery violinist Charles Yang joins Marcelo Gomes, the Brazilian-born principal dancer for American Ballet Theatre, in an explosive performance at Dance from the Heart on Monday, January 26 at 7:30pm at Joyce Theater, 175 Eighth Avenue (at 19th Street).

Last night, the 2015 June Briggs Awards honored Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS Executive Director Tom Viola, Al Roker, National 9/11 Memorial Museum Director Alice M. Broadway Backwards, the only annual Broadway event custom-made for the gay and lesbian community, our friends and families, will return for a special 10th anniversary edition on Monday, March 9, 2015.

Briggs Inc. announced today the 2015 June Briggs Awards winners for Excellence in Destination Management Services. The awards honor New York City's outstanding businesses that have excelled in service and performance in the destination management and hospitality industry. The awards presentation will take place January 12, 2015 at 6pm at The Eventi Hotel (851 Avenue of the Americas, NYC).

Thanks to the efforts of the cast of Irving Berlin's HOLIDAY INN and the generosity of our Goodspeed's audience members, the theatre company has raised $23,935.58 this holiday season for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, it was announced today.
