Andrew Lloyd Webber to Receive BASCA Fellowship at The Ivor Novello Awards, May 17

Andrew Lloyd Webber will receive a BASCA Fellowship at this year's Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday 17 May. The BASCA Fellowship is the highest accolade which a composer can receive, bestowed by composers in the UK. It recognises unique creative talent in music writing together with iconic achievement for and on behalf of composers. BASCA Fellows are exceptional artists and ambassadors for the song-writing and composing profession and BASCA's role within it.

The Second Annual Tony Awards Film Series kicked off this weekend, featuring a collection of Broadway inspired films and exclusive interactive opportunities for audiences, including panel discussions with Tony Award winners, a Carol Channing look-a-like contest and sing-a-long. The Tony Awards Film Series is free to the public, with a suggested donation to The Paley Center for Media.

The Tony Awards previously announced the line-up for the 2nd Annual Tony Awards Film Series, which takes place today, May 12th and Sunday, May 13th at The Paley Center for Media. The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards, which are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012.

Freedom High School Leads FREDDY Award Nominations with 17 Nominations - Full Nominees List

Nominations for the 2012 FREDDY© Awards were announced yesterday, May 10th, live on 69 WFMZ-TV during the Noon News broadcast. Leading the pack this year are Freedom High School with 17 nominations. Emmaus High School and Parkland High School both scooped 12 nominations. Notre Dame High School is close behind with 11 nominations.

The O2 Silver Clef Awards is hosted by Nordoff Robbins at the London Hilton on Park Lane, on Friday June 29th. The star-studded annual event which is known for its who's who audience of A-list musical heavyweights recognises outstanding musical talent whilst raising money for the national specialist music charity, Nordoff Robbins, using music to transform the lives of vulnerable children and adults.
