Powerstories Theatre is proud to present the second annual Voices of Women Theatre Festival, showcasing eight local and national playwrights to a global audience. The festival is a combination of two live-in-theatre plays and six virtual productions, both full-length and shorts.
The Voices of Women Theatre Festival celebrates nine womens voices with eight play topics ranging from gentrification, child abuse, and youth suicide to politics, immigration, Roe versus Wade, religion, and female friendships. Six shows are view-on-demand for 48 hours and two are Friday and Saturday live in the theatre and live-streamed.
Now, more than ever in our history, it is essential to amplify the voices of women.
The festival runs from Tuesday, July 19 through Sunday, July 24, 2022; however, guests can begin viewing the opening show on July 17.
Guests have 48 hours prior to the 9pm EST playwright interview to enjoy the six view-on-demand shows prior to 9 pm EST live Zoom playwright interview. The two live shows will have the live playwright interview directly following the live/live-streamed production.
