Part of the vibrant arts community at UW–Madison, the Department of Theatre and Drama is home to talented students learning and training alongside faculty with diverse experiences in the performing arts. Our department produces several performances per year in two theatre spaces fully equipped with scenic, prop, and costume shops, plus state-of-the-art lighting and sound labs. Alumni of our academic programs are successful and noted figures in theatre, film, television, gaming, production, development, and design, among other areas of the entertainment industry.

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the summer intern production, INCOGNITO by Nick Payne, directed by Bay Street's DirectingProducing intern Kellie M. Beck and starring Bay Street Theater's 2019 Acting Apprentices. This production will run as a show directed, produced, designed and acted entirely by the summer intern company at Bay Street Theater. Performances run from August 8 - 10 with twilight performances at 4 pm.  Tickets will be sold as Pay What You Can style directly at the box office.

Stratford Festival Hosts World Premiere of BRONTË: THE WORLD WITHOUT NOW On Stage

The Stratford Festival presents the world premiere of Bronte: The World Without, Jordi Mand's engrossing new play about the famous literary sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte. Directed by Vanessa Porteous, and featuring Beryl Bain, Jessica B. Hill and Andrea Rankin, the production begins previews today at the Studio Theatre.
