Welcome to the Department of Theatre. Our program offers the only Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the state, encompassing acting, performance, musical theatre and more. The Department of Theatre brings together talented and creative individuals interested in pursuing their passion and helps them realize their artistic abilities. At USD, our faculty are qualified and effective leaders who bring a wealth of experiences and insights to the classroom. This expertise, along with our small class sizes, creates a rich learning environment for our students, who learn to think creatively and work collaboratively as they strive to grow, innovate and discover new capabilities. We connect our students with real-world experiences like internships and study abroad opportunities that allow them to learn both inside and outside the classroom. With these skills and experiences guiding them, our students go on to have successful careers in their field.
