We are excited to introduce you to the UNLV School of Music, one of the premier music and fine arts institutions in the Southwest. The School of Music offers students opportunities for musical study in a professional, artistic environment that strives to promote the highest level of artistic development according to each student’s unique strengths. Our students pursue their musical interests with degrees in performance, composition, teaching, recording technology, history and literature, jazz studies, Orff Schulwerk, and conducting. The School of Music faculty, each a renowned scholar and respected professional artist, have performed around the world, garnering prestigious awards. They are dedicated to their students, preparing them to become artistic leaders in their chosen profession. They instill in their students the highest standard of performance, teaching, scholarship, and artistic vision. Our graduates enjoy successful careers as performers, teachers, scholars, and music practitioners across the country and around the world. Many graduates go on to pursue further music study at other prestigious universities and conservatories, as well as continuing their studies at UNLV. In scholarship, composition, education, and performance we are proud of our contribution to the cultural life of the university, the city, and the state of Nevada.
