The Great American Songbook Foundation will present two free holiday concerts in December featuring talented local and regional alumni from its annual Songbook Academy summer music intensive.

Carmel Jazz Fest will return August 9 and 10 with top international, regional and local acts in Jazz, Blues and R&B. 

Carmel Jazz Fest 2024 emphasizes youth and education with workshops, masterclasses, and performances designed to inspire and cultivate young talent in the jazz community.

From hundreds of applicants nationwide, 40 high school students from 14 states have been selected to participate in this year’s Songbook Academy®, aweeklong summer intensive that immerses young performers in America’s musical heritage and helps them develop as artists under the guidance of Broadway stars and other entertainment professionals and music educators. 

Mark your calendars for the Second Annual Carmel Jazz Fest returning this August.  Carmel Jazz Festival is a two-day festival featuring international, national and regional Jazz, R&B, and Blues acts across five stages. The festival includes beer, wine and food vendors.

Violin duo Miolina is excited to present the first ever Duologue Festival, celebrating NYC's best duos. The festival runs Thursday and Friday evenings, September 28-29, 2023, at 7PM.

American Lives Theatre (ALT) is making local history by producing the Indiana premiere of 'Sanctuary City' by Martyna Majok. This production, which begins performances on September 7, will feature a cast of three Indy actors, all of whom were born in the United States to parents who were not.

Kids can experience the joy of music with the newest addition to Carmel Jazz Fest: A Kids Zone at Carter Green for kids 12 and under (who are admitted for free) with the popular kids entertainer, Mr. Daniel. The Kids Zone will take place both days of the festival, August 11-12.

American Pianists Association has announced Isaiah J. Thompson as the winner of the 2023 American Pianists Awards. The announcement was made after the final round of performances on Saturday, April 22 at Hilbert Circle Theatre in Indianapolis.

San Diego Opera's 2022-2023 season comes to a close with Zach Redler's opera about  military spirit with The Falling and the Rising. The Falling and the Rising opens May 12, 2022 at 7:30  PM at the Balboa Theatre as part of the dētour Series.
