As a group, Trinity’s music faculty offers students a curriculum designed to foster a comprehensive understanding of theoretical, practical, and applied aspects of music in all its diversity. Course offerings range from performance to academic classes, from ancient music to contemporary styles from around the world. We offer courses in Composition, Music Theory, Music History, and The Psychology of Music and others including: Music Production (Intro/Advanced Recording Arts; The Business of Music; Synthesis and Sound Design; Sound for Film) Popular Music (Before Lady Gaga and Beyoncé; Blues Women to Nikki Minaj; The Beatles and ‘60s Rock ‘n’ Roll; American Popular Music; Jazz: 1900 to the Present; Music as Protest) Ethnomusicology (Intro to World Music; Toca Brasil (Play Brazil!); Investigating Music and Culture; Music and Human Rights) Performance and Applied Opportunities (Jazz, Samba, Steel Pan, and Instrumental Ensembles; Private Lessons)
