The Department of Theatre & Film at the University of Mississippi offers great artistic and academic opportunities. Our students receive individualized attention from a faculty with extensive professional experience and we create performance, design and stage management opportunities for all of our students, including freshmen. We offer a wide selection of courses in areas including musical theatre; acting; costume, lighting, scenic, and sound design; cinema production and cinema acting; dance; history; and business.
The department offers four undergraduate degrees: A BFA with Emphasis in Acting for Stage & Screen, Design & Theatre Production, Film Production and a BA in Theatre Arts. We offer a minor in Theatre Arts and training in dance, cinema production, and cinema acting, and we support the college's interdisciplinary cinema minor.
