The Department of Music is a part of the School of Fine & Performing Arts and offers a large variety of liberal arts and professional courses to prospective students. We are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). The department offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Music with concentrations in Classical Performance, Jazz Performance, and Contemporary Music Studies. Within the Contemporary Music Studies concentration, students may choose the general music program or emphases in Recording, Theory & Composition, or Pre-Music Therapy, which is designed to prepare students for a graduate degree (MS) in Music Therapy. A Music minor is also available.
