I really tried to focus on the fact that these were the last ones I was going to do here at this place. I wanted to enjoy it. I wanted to enjoy every opportunity I had and everything I did.

I loved this audition season. Because I finally let myself relax and have fun. Because whatever happens happens. And all I can do is go in that room and give it all I’ve got. It’s only 3 minutes of my life. And that is so exciting.

I’m really joyful about everything going on and I can’t wait to see how everything is going to turn out.

The DOWNTOWN URBAN ARTS FESTIVAL will present 16 plays (nine shorts and seven one-acts.) The festival kicks off on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 when Savion Glover and Reg E. Gaines (Bring in da Noise Bring in da Funk) make a much-anticipated return to The Public Theater with the centerpiece production If Trane Wuz Here. 

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati will present the commissioned world premiere dramedy Who All Over There? by Torie Wiggins. Things aren't always black and white—especially when it comes to relationships. Penned by the one of Cincinnati's favorite multi-hyphenate artists, this new play is inspired by the classic Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and shines a light on what happens when cultures clash in the name of love. Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati opens its 37th year with the Pulitzer Prize–winning drama Sweat by MacArthur genius and two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage. Shining a powerful light on America's working class, Nottage infuses this searing script with her trademark mix of compassion, humor, and suspense. It's explosive drama, made in America. Playing September 17–October 9, 2022. Directed by Darnell Pierre Benjamin.

On June 14, 2022, Flux Theatre Ensemble will launch Our Options Have Changed, an interactive audio experience, created by lead artists Corey Allen, Emily Hartford, and Will Lowry, based on an idea they developed with Jason Tseng. Our Options Have Changed is accessed by cell phone and available 24/7. 

The comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan H.M.S. Pinafore was performed on January 21st at the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall by the Southeast Opera. Part of Southeast Missouri State University, the group performed the production without microphones. The piece is directed by Christopher Goeke. The production will play one last time this afternoon, January 23rd, at 3 pm. 

We've been compiling videos from college seniors all around the country for our new daily showcase series. Although their performances were cancelled, the show must go on-- virtually!

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati is going back to school with the regional premiere drama, Pipeline by Dominique Morisseau, the acclaimed MacArthu 'Genius' Grant playwright. This 2018 Obie Award-winning play powerfully brings an urgent conversation to the forefront, compassionately probing the limits of our education system and a mother's fight to give her son a future-without turning her back on the community that made him who he is.
