The Seattle University Theatre program nurtures your ambitions and strengths while delivering you a comprehensive education in all areas of theatre, including acting, design, directing, history and production. We offer major and minor degrees as well as Departmental Honors.
You will have the chance to take advantage of our faculty mentorship, a signature characteristic of our educational philosophy. Our small class sizes allow you to develop close one-on-one working relationships with theatre faculty.

The Seattle Symphony and Benaroya Hall announce the promotion of Dr. Paul R. Johnson who will become Vice President of People & Culture, as well as the organization’s first Chief Diversity Officer. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) work is essential to the Symphony’s mission, and this new senior leadership role was created to ensure that DEIB goals are prioritized and stay central to all Symphony and Benaroya Hall initiatives.

Following a competitive nationwide search, Sound Theatre has announced Zharia O' Neal (Los Angeles, CA) for its first-ever playwright residency. The summer call for submissions to the Making Waves William S. Yellow Robe Jr. Playwright Residency drew over 120 applicants, resulting in a breathtaking pool of intersectional identities and writing samples.

As Associate Artistic Director, Mr. Ross will work in close collaboration with Mr. Boal to implement and advance PNB’s artistic vision, and consult on all artistic matters including programming, hiring, and casting. He will also provide oversight for PNB’s special projects such as Next Step, PNB Dance Film Festival, and digital programming. As part of his new appointment, Mr. Ross will continue to co-lead PNB’s I.D.E.A. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) committee.
