Bachelor of Arts in Theatre

Minor in Theatre

Minor in Dance

The Theatre Program within the Department of Fine and Performing Arts creates an education experience based on the combination of theoretical classroom explorations and practical production of plays. Our program specializes in all aspects of a production, from set design and lighting, to costume design, to the acting itself. A Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from SLU prepares students to enter M.F.A. programs in theatre and M.A. programs in drama. It develops the essential skills to enter the job market as actors and technicians for theatrical productions. And it nurtures creativity as students effectively market the variety of skills they acquire as theatre majors in outside fields.
