Bachelor of Science in Communication - Theatre Emphasis


Learn the fundamentals of the entertainment industry, from stage management and design to directing and acting. Participation, collaboration, and service are integral components of the program. Train in state-of-the-art production facilities. The Bicknell Family Center for the Arts is the region's premier destination for the fine and performing arts. Our facility features the 1,000-seat Linda & Lee Scott Performance Hall, a full theatrical stage, the 280-seat Dotty and Bill Miller Theater, and the 2,900 square-foot Rehearsal Hall.

Enrollment is now open for students in grades 10 to 12 for a?oeTheatre Industry Career Paths,a?? a brand-new educational offering from Starlight that provides students who aspire to work in the theatre industry an opportunity to explore the vast array of careers availablea?"both on stage and off. Through an exciting partnership with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, this course will allow students to earn one hour of college credit through UMKC.
