Whether you prefer to take center stage or work behind the scenes, our Department of Theatre, Cinema and Dance will help you grow creatively while learning technical skills central to success in the industry. Choose a specialized field and still gain well-rounded experience in all three areas. This degree will enhance your technical, creative and storytelling skills as you hone your craft with your own expressive voice. You will gain a vital competitive edge for both stage and film. Established to perform intimate and unique opera performances, Opera180 is launching its 2018 season with the highly interactive production of Bon Operatit. Performing at the Squeezebox Theatre on April 27-29, this exciting event will consist of three parts including composer Lee Hoiby's Bon Appetit based on Julia Child, a cooking demonstration by a local KC chef, and Jennifer Jolley's Krispy Kremes and Butter Queens inspired by the colorful Paula Deen.
