The Department of Music at MSU Texas is excited to be welcoming applications for the 2022-2023 school year. We want you to come be a part of the many exciting musical opportunities we have to offer here at MSU Texas. Many scholarships are available to students who attend either an in-person or digital audition. The mission of the Midwestern State University Department of Music is to provide a comprehensive musical curriculum within a liberal arts framework for all students. Our degree programs systematically equip music degree-seeking students as professional musicians and prepare them for a career in music. In addition, the liberal arts foundation of our university develops the aesthetic sensibility, cultural awareness and social responsibility of each student.
