Since the founding of Midland College’s Allison Fine Arts Building in 1978, our music program has offered a full range of courses and performing opportunities. The Department of Music welcomes students from any field of study to participate in one or more of our music ensembles, history, appreciation, instrumental, theory and/or vocal music courses.
Whether you are considering Music as a career, coming to the study of music for the first time or are just looking for opportunities to play music, we have professional, caring and dedicated music faculty members ready to help you realize your musical ambitions.
Among the advantages of attending MC is the opportunity to receive weekly music lessons on an instrument or voice from a member of our outstanding music faculty. Currently, we offer private one-on-one instruction in voice, guitar, piano, brass, woodwinds, strings and percussion. Whether an accomplished performer or beginner musician, any student can enroll in a music lesson.
