The Hill is most definitely alive with the sound of music. The Music Department provides myriad opportunities for both majors and non-majors to develop their talents in voice, piano, organ, guitar, brass and strings, as well as both single and double reeds. The music program also offers courses in music theory and composition, arranging and orchestration, music history, world musics, and popular musics. Recitals and concerts are performed each semester by such groups as the College Choir, Gospel Choir, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and many others.

Totem Pole Playhouse A CHRISTMAS CAROL Receives National Honor From The American Bus Association

Totem Pole Playhouse's critically-acclaimed annual production of A Christmas Carol has received a "Best of the Best" Award from the American Bus Association (ABA) as one of the top 100 events in North America. The "Best of the Best" designation is an annual compendium of the 100 best events for group travel in the United States and Canada. The American Bus Association provides more than 600 million passenger trips annually on charters, tours, scheduled service and shuttles. Membership in the ABA includes motorcoach operators, tour operators, and tourism-related organizations. A committee of its members selects the top 100 events each year from hundreds of celebrations, festivals, fairs, performing arts presentations, regional commemorative events, and more. Totem Pole's production was submitted for consideration by Destination Gettysburg, the official marketing organization for Gettysburg and Adams County.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET), an award-winning theatre dedicated to the creation and production of extraordinary theatre, presents A View from the Bridge, a tragedy in which the limits of family bonds and personal honor are tested. Written by Arthur Miller (The Crucible), A View from the Bridge focuses on the poverty of an American working class family comes face to face with the sheer destitution of their immigrant cousins, desperate to make a new life when an admirable longshoreman takes in two if his wife's Italian cousins who have been smuggled into the country. One falls in love with his niece and a 1950s plot becomes more topical than ever!
Kennedy Center Announces American College Theater National Festival

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 9-14, 2018 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF.
