Reading of THE INVADERS Comes to Queens College in June

On Tuesday, June 18, at 7 pm, Queens College will premiere a designed reading of “The Invaders,” a play about the Freedom Summer Project of 1964—a voter registration effort in segregated Mississippi that drew Black and white volunteers from all over the country—and the Ku Klux Klan’s murder of participating activists James Chaney, then-QC student Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner.
Art 4 Announces Cast of GODSPELL

Complete casting has been announced as rehearsals begin for the new production of Art 4's Godspell starring Laurisa LeSure and Zachary Wilkeson, directed and choreographed by Mark Albin and music direction by Dr. Aaron Albin, with music and new lyrics by four-time Grammy winner, and Golden Globe winner Stephen Schwartz, and book by John-Michael Tebelak.

Fine Arts Center Brings Back CITY AS A VENUE For Year Two Of Summer Arts Across The City

The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College will bring back “City as a Venue” after a successful inaugural presentation in 2021. Originally concepted to keep arts programming active and provide an outlet for the community during the pandemic, the FAC offered a summerlong series outdoors on campus and at various locations across the city. While COVID restrictions have lifted, and indoor programming is back, the City as a Venue line up will this year include both indoor and outdoor programming.

La Mirada will present The Sound of Music beginning in April! The show stars Diane Phelan (Broadway: The King and I & South Pacific at Lincoln Center) as “Maria,” Christopher Carl (Broadway: South Pacific at Lincoln Center, Mamma Mia!) as “Captain von Trapp,” and Grammy nominee Suzanna Guzmán (The King and Iwith Yul Brynner, Bizet’s Carmen) as “Mother Abbess.'

The Nazareth College Theatre and Dance Department will present John Proctor is the Villain, written by Kimberly Belflower and directed by Rachel Solomon. It plays in the Callahan Theater on Thursday, February 24, Friday, February 25, and Saturday, February 26, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, February 27, at 2 p.m.
