In an exciting 2023-2024 season, GRAMMY-winning virtuoso violinist and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Itzhak Perlman engages with audiences across the world as he builds on his career as one of the most distinguished classical musicians of our era.

Come and celebrate with Houston Contemporary Dance Company as we host our 5th Season Kickoff Gala on September 30th, 2023 from 6:30-9PM at the Institute of Contemporary Dance, honoring donor and advocate for Houston Contemporary Judy Nyquist. Enjoy cocktails, an elegant dinner from Award Winning Navy Blue, a special performance by Say Girl Say with Houston Contemporary Dance Company and a meet & greet with the company dancers after the performance.

Houston Contemporary Dance Company's primary focus is to provide Houstonians with opportunities to view world class contemporary concert dance and engage with the artists involved, including dancers, choreographers and designers. Coincide will present 2 World Premieres by Alexander Anderson and Yoshito Sakuraba. The company will also present works from Choreographers Eoghan Dillon, Andrea Dawn Shelley and a film from Hope Stone Dance. 

Houston Contemporary Dance Company will continue its fourth Season with an intimate performance of DUE at Heights Ironworks.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company brings the classically exquisite story of Cyrano de Bergerac to its Owen and Margaret Wellford Tabor Stage, featuring an expansive design team and cast of AEA actors that includes TSC's Producing Artistic Director Dan McCleary in the title role. 

A staged reading of award-winning playwright Marisela Treviño Orta's Latinx fairytale The River Bride will be presented for a limited engagement July 1 to July 3 at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the professional theatre on the campus of DeSales University in Center Valley, PA.

Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (BaCA) is presents The Load We Carry, which comprises two exhibitions by artists Amanda Schilling and Megan Hildebrandt respectively, in conversation about domesticity, motherhood, and responsibility. Viewers are invited to see themselves reflected in the multiple artworks exhibited, which display human relationships and all the happenings that occur in the space they inhabit.
