Welcome to the David L. Walters Department of Music at Jacksonville State University. A diverse and inspiring faculty trained at some of the nation's premier institutions are active as performers, scholars, composers, and teachers. Students have rare opportunities to work closely with and learn from these artist-teachers individually and in a wide variety of ensemble, seminar, and classroom settings. An energetic student body is fully engaged in a wide variety of musical performance and learning activities, and all gain significant experience by playing key leadership roles within them.
