The JSU Department of Music offers students undergraduate or graduate degrees in Music or Music Education, as well as a Music minor. As an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the department is a committed community of performers, educators, and scholars, dedicated to the musical training of JSU students. With small class sizes and a high faculty-to-student ratio, our students interact closely with a seasoned scholar-performers who have trained at Julliard, the Eastman School of Music, the Peabody Conservatory, Duquesne University, and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.

Harlem One Stop today announced a free special Memorial Day Weekend concert by The 369th Experience in celebration of the Harlem Renaissance Centennial and the Harlem Hell Fighters. The ensemble will perform a program of music by ragtime and early jazz bandleader James Reese Europe. The free outdoor performance will be presented from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 at Marcus Garvey Park (Mt. Morris Park West between East 120th-124th Streets) in Harlem.

K'ron Unveils BLS Visual

Atlantic recording artist K'ron has unveiled a remarkable new video for “BLS,” featured on his recently released debut EP, WILD LOVA VOL. 1. The visual -- which marks the first chapter of a three-part short film comprised of songs from the EP – was broadcasted live on REVOLT this afternoon and is now streaming via YouTube HERE.
