Bachelor of Arts in Humanities - Music


The Music program at IU East offers a range of opportunities for exploring music, from electives for non-majors, to a Minor in Music, to a structured Concentration in Music within the Bachelor of Arts in Humanities degree. Do you play an instrument? Join the IU East Pep Band. Do you sing? Join the IU East Chorus. Are you interested in the history of Music? Consider Music for the Listener, History of Rock, or History of Jazz. For students interested in a structured music program, we offer courses in Music Theory, Music History, applied instrumental and/or vocal lessons, and ensemble opportunities. Some ensembles may require an audition.

Nettle Creek Players, a 501c3 not-for-profit arts organization in Hagerstown, Indiana, has announced its 2018 troupe of visiting professional theatre artists who will live in the community for nine weeks as they prepare and present the Nettle Creek Players 2018 Summer Stock Tent Theatre Season featuring productions of INTO THE WOODS, HOOSIER HARMONY, MASTER CAT: THE STORY OF PUSS IN BOOTS, and the NCP Young Actors Musical Theatre Workshop.
