Bachelor of Arts in Theatre for Secondary Education

The GCU Theatre Department prepares students for a successful career in the entertainment and production sector. GCU’s theatre program in the College of Arts and Media provides students with a hands-on education that fosters creativity, collaboration and the opportunity to use state-of-the-art equipment not typically available to undergraduate students. Degree programs within the department emphasize emerging technology trends within the industry to ensure students receive a technical education while also developing highly desired “soft” interpersonal skills. Theatre and theatre education majors are instructed by seasoned professionals from their respective fields in acting, directing, lighting, costume design and technical direction. Students are given hands-on experience behind the scenes as well as onstage in expertly supervised real-life production and performance roles.
