The Black Rep announced the extension of Fireflies by Donja R. Love for an additional week, through March 6. Directed by Atlanta-based actor and director Andrea Frye, and featuring Zahria Moore and Eric Conners, the courageous work takes an intimate approach to exploring personal aspects of the Civil Rights Movement.

The St Louis Black Repertory Company continues its 45th Anniversary Season with Fireflies by Donja R. Love. Fireflies opens on February 11, 2022 at at the 125-seat Hotchner Studio Theatre on Washington University’s campus. Metro Theater Company has named five distinguished professionals to its board of directors and four new staff to its existing team. The nationally recognized TYA company, which reaches tens of thousands of St. Louis-area students and families each year, has also appointed two celebrated St. Louis theatre performers/directors as associate artists.

Stomping Ground Theatre Co., based in New York, will be making its St. Louis stage debut with a new musical revue with music and lyrics by Brett Kristofferson, entitled THIS VERY MOMEMT! The show will be presented August 2nd and 3rd at 8:00pm at Fontbonne University Fine Arts Theatre, 6800 Wydown Boulevard.

The Arts and Education Council announced today that Edward Jones Managing Partner Penny Pennington and her husband, Mike Fidler, will co-chair the St. Louis Arts Awards on Jan. 27, 2020. Actor Andrea Purnell will emcee the fundraiser. Now in its 29th year, the event honors individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the St. Louis region's arts community.
