Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Speech Education

Our unique hybrid program combines the study of theatre history and methods with advanced teaching in multiple disciplines of informative, dramatic, persuasive, and improvisational communication styles so that you will be equipped to teach students in a secondary education environment. Our professors have real-world performance experience and offer both hands-on and practical instruction. A focus on the integration of faith and fine arts is also a highlight of our program. Gain a foundational understanding of Staging Techniques Principles of Directing Oral Interpretation of Literature Public Speaking and Rhetoric Foster a love of theatre in the lives of the next generation of performers as you teach theatre and speech courses, and expand your own methods and performance skills. Participate in student teaching opportunities and pursue your public school teaching certification through our in-depth program.
