The Concord University Department of Music provides many challenges and opportunities for its students, as the small class size and dedicated faculty help prepare students for the competitive music profession. Department of Music graduates have an outstanding job placement and graduate school placement record and hold positions throughout West Virginia and other states. Concord brings to campus numerous professional performers through its Artist/Lecture Series. Recent guest artists have included the Colorado String Quartet, the Borealis Wind Quintet, the St. Louis Brass, guitarist Alex DeGrassi, the Georgia Guitar Quartet, and pianist Leon Bates.
