Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Master of Arts in Theatre Minor in Theatre

The Binghamton University Theatre Department offers courses and degree programs for a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and a combined Theatre BA/Masters in Public Administration program. Undergraduates concentrate in one of the following three areas: Acting/Directing, Dance, or Design and Technical Theatre. Graduate students (MA program) can concentrate on Directing, Theory, Performance, or Technical Production and Design; however MA students are not required to choose a concentration. Students of the combined BA/MPA program should declare their interest as early as possible, preferably in their freshman or sophomore year. A Theatre Minor is also available.
The ultimate outcome of theatre education is to enable students to observe, illuminate, and effectively communicate through the medium of theatrical art, fundamental truths about the broad spectra of human experience.

Recitals by rising young opera stars and one of the vocal world's most prestigious competitions comprise the George and Nora London Foundation for Singers 2023-24 season of events at New York's Morgan Library and Museum. Mezzo-soprano Lindsay Kate Brown, a 2020 George London Award winner, and baritone Blake Denson, who won his George London Award in 2022, each performs a solo program, and the 52nd year of the foundation's competition for American and Canadian opera singers will confer 2024 George London Awards on five of the opera world's most promising young artists.
