Minor in Dance


Bates College offers a major and a minor in dance integrating theory and practice within the framework of a liberal arts education. Our program offers studies in the theory and cultural context of dance, encourages original choreographic work, provides a variety of performing opportunities for students at all levels of experience, and builds a strong and versatile technique in dance. Courses are open to all students whether seeking a degree or studying dance as an elective area of interest.
