 Celebrating its 165th season of presenting world class performing arts to Central Massachusetts, Music Worcester's genre-spanning schedule features more than 20 different events, from classical works old and new, to jazz, Celtic, spiritual, and more.   

Learning online is nothing like having an actual class in a proper classroom. It lacks the 'human connection' if you could put it that way. However, this does not mean that it ceased to exist given everything is online. We are fortunate to be living in a time of advanced technology and therefore we are still connected but electronically.

Michael Ritchie announced that he will retire as Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group on December 31, 2021. Having taken over the position from Founding Artistic Director Gordon Davidson in January, 2005, for more than 16 years, Ritchie has led one of the country’s largest nonprofit regional theatres, producing and presenting 266 productions.

The Hanover Theatre Christmas Carolers return this holiday season for several performances throughout the Worcester area, celebrating the theatre's 12th annual production of A Christmas Carol.

Over 20 new shows go on sale this August at The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts, including five Worcester holiday traditions, on sale August 13-16. All handling fees for individual shows are waived 10 am - midnight only on the day they go on sale to the public. Members receive early access to holiday shows on Monday, August 5. Handling fees are not waived for members.

In honor of National Autism Awareness Month, The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts announces its third relaxed performance of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, to take place on Sunday, December 22 at 11 am. Embrace a vision of Sugar Plum Fairies and join Newton's  New Philharmonia Orchestra for its annual holiday program of fun and family-friendly music.  On Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 3 p.m., the New Philharmonia Orchestra will present Celebrations!, the first family concert of the 2018-2019 season along with guest performers from the Boston Ballet School, Newton Campus and Newton's All-City Treble Singers. The performance will take place at the accessible historic First Baptist Church in Newton Centre.

The Priests 2018 US Tour comes to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts on Friday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m., generously sponsored by Assumption College. Tickets are on sale now to members and go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, July 31 at 10 a.m.

Celebrate the holiday season with the 11th annual production of A Christmas Carol at The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for Performing Arts, December 15-23. Generously sponsored by Assumption College and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, this is New England's largest production of the Charles Dickens classic. Tickets are now on sale to members and go on sale to the public on Tuesday, July 10 at 10 a.m.
