FREE OUTDOOR TOUR TO 24 PARKS IN MISSOURI AND ILLINOIS.
A larger-than-life presentation of Shakespeare’s most enchanting romance, The Tempest. Set on an island full of mischief, magic and plots of revenge in epic proportions. Directed by Tom Ridgely, St. Louis Shakespeare Festival Producing Artistic Director with a traveling cast of six talented performers: including the Joy Christina Turner (Prospera) and three Webster University's Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts seniors: Alex Daspit (Ferdinand/Alonso), Daisy Held (Miranda/Trinculo) and Aliyah Jacobs (Ariel/Boatswain) alongside Isaiah Di Lorenzo (Caliban/Gonzalo) and Reginald Pierre (Stephano/Antonio).
This actor-centric production are helped by 10 fantastical puppets, designed by Ryan Marshall, current artistic director of America’s Birthday Parade and long-time Bob Kramer’s Marionettes collaborator. Ridgely and Marshall are joined by Sam Hayes (Costume Design) and Taylor Abs (Puppet Fabricator and Props Director).
Each TourCO performance is 90 minutes and begins at 6:30 p.m. with a brief introduction to the show. The performances are completely free to attend. Find the stop nearest you or find a new park to explore!
