Final Dress at Greenfinch

On October 10, 11 and 12, 7:30pm at Greenfinch, Midnight will present a new Cabaret Theatre show, FINAL DRESS, written and directed by Joe Hanrahan.

Kelly Howe portrays a transplanted New Yorker, relocated to the Midwest ostensibly to continue her Cabaret career.  With her Music Director, played by Paul Cereghino, she is rehearsing one more time for a premiere performance.  But their rehearsal time is interrupted by a visitor (Hanrahan) from her East Coast past - come to collect for the debts and damage she’s left behind.
She’s forced to sing for her life - using her music, her art, to temper the critical situation.
Infused with great songs and a cliffhanger narrative, FINAL DRESS is a unique addition to
Midnight’s array of Cabaret Theatre shows.
Hanrahan said “We’ve been calling these shows we’ve been doing Cabaret Theatre. They include the great music you expect from a Cabaret show.  But we try to team that with a strong
story.  We think and hope these shows offer audiences unique entertainment experiences.”
Kelly Howe has been performing as Linda Ronstadt in Midnight’s JUST ONE LOOK, which has sold out for over 20 shows during the past year at Blue Strawberry.  She also sang in Midnight’s PROFESSOR SUNSHINE’S ROCK ’N ROLL REVIVAL, and acted in Midnight’s OLD TIMES and RODNEY’S WIFE (for which she was nominated as Outstanding Leading Actress from the St. Louis Theatre Circle).  And she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress for performances in the Black Rep’s SWEAT and Contraband’s SEE YOU IN A MINUTE.
In addition to his musical skills, Paul Cereghino is a successful stand-up comedian, performing in clubs in St. Louis and around the country.  On piano, he was part of the band that backed
up Jennelle Gilreath Owens in her Midnight Judy Garland show at Blue Strawberry, YOU MADE ME LOVE YOU.
