The Lion King celebrated its 25th anniversary last night, Sunday, November 13th and BroadwayWorld was there! Check out photos of the stars arriving on the red carpet here!

BroadwayWorld was in the recording studio with Cast Members of The Lion King as they laid down their vocal track of “Christmas Time”.  This is a new Christmas Song written and arranged by James Brown-Orleans with vocals by James Brown-Orleans and Shacura Wade. Creative team members Julie Taymor, Tim Rice, Garth Fagan, Lebo M., Mark Mancina, Roger Allers, and Irene Mecchi joined hundreds of alumni and others for a special performance of the show, culminating in a surprise performance by The Lion King's Tony-nominated composer Elton John.
