On March 9th, 2017, Sing For Your Seniors (SFYS) hosted the latest in its series of Broadway Sessions with cast members from Cats for the LGBT seniors at SAGE Center Midtown. The musical performance, led by SFYS Session Leader Daniel Torres (Broadway: Beautiful, Evita, The Pirate Queen, The Woman in White, Off-Broadway: Altar Boyz, National Tour: Wicked), included songs of the performers' choosing as well as songs from Cats. The SAGE Center audience enjoyed a one-hour session, as well as a meet-and-greet visit with the cast following the performance. Scroll down for photos from the event!

She might not be Mamie's understudy, but she was there to promote her eighth annual Blessing of the Animals on December 11, 2016 at Christ Church (524 Park Avenue), which includes a procession of animals to the altar for blessing.
There were Grizabellas here, there, and everywhere last night at the Winter Garden Theatre, as current CATS star Leona Lewis, her upcoming replacement Mamie Parris, and original Broadway glamor cat Betty Buckley met up backstage. Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on T.S. Eliot's 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats,' the original Broadway production opened in 1982 at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre (currently home to Lloyd Webber's newest hit, School of Rock - The Musical), where it ran for 7,485 performances and 18 years. CATS was originally produced on Broadway by Cameron Mackintosh, The Really Useful Company Limited, David Geffen, and The Shubert Organization. The creative team for the new Broadway production of CATS includes John Napier (Scenic & Costume Design), Natasha Katz (Lighting Design), Mick Potter (Sound Design), choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, based on the original choreography by Gillian Lynne, and direction by Trevor Nunn.
