LESLIE L. SMITH has a BA from NYU in Creative Writing and an MA in Educational Theater.. He began his career as a literary intern at The 1991 Young Playwrights Festival. He held positions at Naked Angels, New York Theater Workshop, Four Corners Productions, and The Liminal Stage. He founded Revelation Theater which he operated from 2000-2005. There Smith directed Temporary Help, Tennessee Williams One Arm, Lovelace! The Musical , developed other new plays, and hosted the only NYC pre-Broadway reading of The Color Purple.
