Wakey, Wakey 2017

The Signature Theatre world premiere production of Wakey, Wakey, written and directed by Lucille Lortel and Obie Award-winner Will Eno, has been extended for a second time.

The world premiere Signature Theatre production of Wakey, Wakey, written and directed by Lucille Lortel and Obie Award-winner Will Eno, opened just last night, February 27, at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). 

You can't say that playwright/director Will Eno doesn't go out big with his new piece, WAKEY, WAKEY. Just before curtain calls, an extra-bright video montage, set to The Olivia Tremor Control's “Love Athena,” wreaks havoc with audience members' pupils. Once eyes are able to adjust, they'll notice bubbles floating through the house, followed by balloons. There's even a large disco ball reflecting lights all over the place.
