THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (LIVE ON STAGE!) is a magical phenomenon unlike anything ever before seen on stage. Borrowing largely from horror conventions, the stage musical begins as an innocent young couple is stranded at the home of a mad scientist who is building the perfect man. The castle is filled with a most bizarre group of characters who worship their master, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, played magnificently by a fabulously sexy man, in leather jacket, pearls, fishnet stockings, and heavy makeup. Brad and Janet are forced to examine their own sexuality as the voluptuous doctor releases the hidden desires in each of them. Based on the stage musical by Richard O’Brien, the stage show comes alive with unforgettable song-and-dance numbers that have come to represent the sexual liberation of the 1970s. The outstanding costuming and makeup, the terrific acting by a talented All-Star Cast and the memorable songs ("Time Warp," "Sweet Transvestite") help make THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW one of the most bizarrely entertaining and satisfying musicals ever made.

‘The Rocky Horror Show’ Broadway Review: A Much Needed Time Warp With Luke Evans & Rachel Dratch In Vivacious Revival
9 / 10
Ok, so maybe the times haven’t changed all that much. More’s the reason we need a little jump to the left and a step to the right and, most of all, a pelvic thrust that really drives you insaaa-yaa-yaane. Roundabout has gifted us a wonderful time warp, and we’d be assholes not to stay for the night.
‘The Rocky Horror Show:’ Luke Evans Astounds In Campy, Queer-Tastic Revival
9 / 10
In Oh, Mary! director Sam Pinkleton’s rousing, campy and dazzling new staging, via Roundabout Theater Company, there isn’t too much daring, beyond a sexy scene or two–which is a bit disappointing but not surprising considering the faux puritanical times we’re living in. But what makes this Rocky Horror Show so worthwhile, beyond the fab costumes (by David I. Reynoso), wig and hair (by Alberto “Albee” Alvarado) lighting (by Jane Cox) and sound (by Brian Ronan) design, are the gloriously unhinged performances.
