The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? Revival 2017

Audiences have just over three weeks left to see this provocative and controversial box office hit production led by Damian Lewis and Sophie Okonedo, directed by Ian Rickson. The final performance of the strictly limited 12 week run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket will be held on 24 June.

Damian Lewis and Sophie Okonedo return to the West End to star in the darkly comic masterpiece, Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? which opened at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on March 24. 

The late, great Edward Albee is certainly having a West End 'moment', but it rather places this particular revival at a disadvantage, comparing unfavourably as it does with the shattering, unforgettable Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? a few streets away.

Archie Madekwe's screen credits include Fresh Meat and films Legacy and Second Coming. He's now making his professional stage debut in The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia, Edward Albee's darkly comic masterpiece about a successful family man who embarks on a shocking love affair. Ian Rickson's revival also features Damian Lewis, Sophie Okonedo and Jason Hughes, and begins previews at Theatre Royal Haymarket on 24 March.

Full casting for Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? is announced today. Joining Damian Lewis and Sophie Okonedo, who play husband and wife Martin and Stevie in Ian Rickson's production, will be Jason Hughes as Martin's oldest friend Ross and Archie Madekwe as their son Billy.
