Those who closely follow Broadway Grosses have been keeping an eye on GODSPELL's numbers as of late and wondering what the future held for the musical, which was recently announced for a performance on Sunday night's Tonys.
Lead producer Ken Davenport has shed some light on the show's health in a new blog entry noting that after a slew of recent promotions ranging from 'Pay Your Age' to the 'Cast of 2032' and a Fan Appreciation Day:

Yesterday, May 23, the company of Godspell celebrated their Academy Award-winning writer Stephen Schwartz in a one-night-only concert featuring songs from Schwartz's Pippin, Wicked, The Baker's Wife, The Magic Show, Working, My Son Pinocchio, Children of Eden, Rags, "Pocahontas", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "The Prince of Egypt", "Enchanted" and more. The concert benefits Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS.

Following an afternoon of open-call auditions for kids last month in which more than 500 kids (ages six to 16) were seen, the creative and producing team of GODSPELL selected five boys and five girls (plus one 'swing') to perform a special encore number at the curtain call on Tuesday, May 22. Rose Caiola, who is the producer and co-writer of the off-Broadway musical hit "Freckleface The Musical" (based on the popular children's book by Julianne Moore) and also made her Broadway debut as a producer this year with "Godspell" at Circle in the Square, now adds film to her growing resume with "First Position," a film by director Bess Kargman, for which she serves as Executive Producer.
