Evita Revival 2017

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival announced today the 2022 summer season. The upcoming season will be the Festival's 31st summer of productions, and the final season led by Producing Artistic Director Patrick Mulcahy.

Full casting is announced today for the new spectacular production of Zorro The Musical which will run at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester from 14 March a?" 18 April 2020, with opening night for press on 18 March, directed by Christian Durham. The show will be brought to life by a cast including Antony Costa as Garcia, Alex Gibson-Giorgio as Ramon, Emma Kingston as Luisa, Genevieve Nicole as Inez, Kit Orton as Don Alejandro and Benjamin Purkiss as the masked hero, Zorro. The cast is completed by Ajjaz Awad, Amy Bastani, Isobel Bates, Ben Boskovic, Maxwell Griffin, Matthew Heywood, Jessica Pardoe, Thomas Ping, Seren Sandham-Davies and Stylianos Thomadakis.

Who isn't infatuated with trains - such a unique and even elegant way to travel. Although these coaches aren't leaving from Platform 9 ¾ for Hogwarts and your fellow passengers won't be Harry Potter and his curious classmates, the ride will be just as thrilling, if not more so. You'll be joining the infamous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and a host of very cleverly enigmatic travelers aboard a train filled with mystery and a touch of mayhem. Asolo Repertory starts its winter season on the fast track with Agatha Christie's MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS, featuring a new off the rails adaptation by two-time Tony Award-winner Ken Ludwig and pushing full steam ahead with direction by Asolo Rep Associate Artist Peter Amster.

Asolo Rep proudly kicks off its winter repertory season with Agatha Christie's MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. The classic edge-of-your-seat murder mystery will be brought to the stage with a new adaptation by two-time Tony Award-winning master of farce Ken Ludwig and directed by Asolo Rep Associate Artist Peter Amster. MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS previews January 8 and 9, opens January 10 and runs in rotating repertory through March 8 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announced today that its world premiere musical, 33 1/3 a?" House of Dreams, currently held over until September 1st, set a new revenue record among all musicals in the theatre's recorded history. The musical beats out The REP's two previous revenue record holders, Evita (2017) and In the Heights (2013). All three musicals were Xchange Xperience productions, the partnership between San Diego REP and the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts that gives high school age students the opportunity to work on a professional production.

Ragtime, based on E.L. Doctorow's 1975 novel and featuring a book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens will run June 13 - July 1 on the Main Stage at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of DeSales University.

Casa Ma ana Theatre continues its 2017-18 Broadway Season presented by Frank Kent Cadillac with Evita, November 4-12. Tickets are on sale now.

The Grand High School Project, the only program of its kind in North America, returns with the blockbuster musical, EVITA.  This limited two-week engagement begins in previews on September 19, opens September 22, and runs thru September 30 on the Spriet Stage. 

In addition to the previously announced run of EVITA in Australia, the production has also announced plans for an international tour. Director Hal Prince has also confirmed that he aims to bring the show to Broadway following its run abroad. 

The box office is now open for the 2017 musical season at Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT). The five-show season will include THE MUSIC MAN, Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, EVITA and 42nd STREET.

Frisco Community Theatre (FCT) has been bringing Frisco live stage productions since 1985. The road has not always been an easy one as FCT lost their performance space and was almost broke in 2007.

North Shore Music Theatre, which often welcomes Broadway names for its productions, has announced the 2017 lineup of musicals.
