Piccadilly Theatre to resume performances of Death of a Salesman tonight, Monday 11th November at 7.30pm. Following the incident at the Piccadilly Theatre on Wednesday 6th November, Westminster City Council has granted permission for it to reopen following its final inspection.

Following the ceiling collapsed during a performance of Death of a Salesman at London's Piccadilly Theatre last night, Westminster City Council, having conducted an investigation into the incident that occurred on Wednesday night at the Piccadilly theatre, confirmed today that the incident was caused by a localised water leak. It has deemed the venue safe for use and granted permission to reopen the theatre to the public, provided the affected area is covered and off-limits until repairs are completed.

It's been a good year for Sharon D Clarke. In April, she finished starring in Caroline, or Change, for which she won the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Clarke and the show transfer to Broadway next year. In the summer, she was The Lady in Blues in the Night at the Kiln Theatre and she also starred as Linda Loman in Death of a Salesman at the Young Vic. Miller's play, directed by Marianne Elliott and Miranda Cromwell, transfers to the Piccadilly Theatre this autumn.
