AVENUE Q Enters Final Weeks of Performances

AVENUE Q - winner of three 2004 Tony Awards including Best Musical - will close May 26 Off-Broadway at New World Stages (340 W. 50 Street). The musical which has been a part of the New York theatrical landscape for 15+ years, both on Broadway and Off Broadway is produced by Kevin McCollum, Robyn Goodman, Jeffrey Seller, Vineyard Theatre and The New Group, will have played a total of 6569 performances upon closing: from its first Broadway preview on July 14, 2003 to its final performance May 26, 2019.
AVENUE Q Will Host Special Events in Honor of World Puppetry Day

Avenue Q - the Tony Award winning Best Musical set to end its 15+ year run in NYC this spring - will celebrate WORLD PUPPETRY DAY on Thursday, March 21, 2019 with a one-night-only roster of special events, including a special ticket price for any patron who brings a puppet to the show AND a Puppet Dance Party after the 8 p.m. performance at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), it has been announced by AVENUE Q producers Kevin McCollum and Robyn Goodman.
AVENUE Q Extends An Additional Four Weeks

Avenue Q is extending its previously announced closing date 4 weeks, due to popular demand, with a new end date set for May 26 at New World Stages! In December it was revealed that the 15+ year run of the musical would end on April 28.
Veronica J. Kuehn Returns to the Cast of AVENUE Q

AVENUE Q will welcome the return of Veronica J. Kuehn beginning February 18, as Kate Monster/Lucy. Ms. Kuehn resumes the role having last performed in the production from July 20, 2011 through February 9, 2015. Shereplaces current cast member Gizel Jimenez, who will play her final performance on February 17, 2019.

AVENUE Q - winner of three 2004 Tony Awards including Best Musical - will celebrate its 15+ year run on the BroadwayCon MainStage this weekend, Saturday, January 12, when Original Broadway Cast and Creative Team members will reunite for a special Q&A Panel. Robert Lopez, Carmen Ruby Floyd, Howie Michael Smith, Erin Quill, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, and Ann Harada are confirmed to attend. BroadwayCon moderators, Ben Cameron and Danny Jordan will host the event scheduled to take place from 4:40-5:30pm at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, (141 West 54 St.) in Manhattan.

AVENUE Q became an overnight sensation on Broadway in July 2003 following a sold-out engagement and was extended four times after being presented Off-Broadway by Vineyard Theatre and The New Group. Since it roared into the spotlight - with its singular cast of people and puppets including Princeton, Kate Monster, Rod, Nicky, Trekkie, Christmas Eve, Gary Coleman and Lucy T. Slut - opening on Broadway on July 31, 2003, AVENUE Q has given over 6,000 performances, running seven years on Broadway before transferring to New World Stages in 2009, where it continues to play to large and happy houses.
