A nurse, a delivery driver, and an entrepreneur walk into a speed awareness course…

Abz is the UK’s leading expert on road safety and the most in-demand course facilitator north of the M25.

In an entirely average hotel basement somewhere in Birmingham, three speedsters are summoned to his class with a choice: change your ways, or lose your licence.

But a routine training course quickly veers into a tumultuous group therapy session as they are forced to confront the real question: why are you all so angry?

SPEED is a break-neck journey through the daily annoyances and deep-buried secrets that leave us spinning. Hilarious and heartfelt, this world premiere production reunites writer Mohamed-Zain Dada and director Milli Bhatia after the wild success of the Olivier Award-nominated, Blue Mist (Royal Court).

Review: JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK, Gielgud Theatre
by Aliya Al-Hassan - Oct 7, 2024

A cost of living crisis, people being fit to work but choosing not to, poverty, nationalism and women's control of their own bodies. Seán O'Casey's Juno and the Paycock may have first been performed at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin in 1924, but a century later, his tragicomedy resonates more strongly than ever.

Review: THE CABINET MINISTER, Menier Chocolate Factory
by Cindy Marcolina - Sep 28, 2024

Sir Julian Twombley is in hot water when it’s discovered that his family has been living way beyond his House of Commons’ wages. This isn’t the latest front page of a Daily Mail-made political attack, it’s the premise of one of Arthur Wing Pinero’s later comedies. Though Victorian farce isn’t exactly all the rage at the moment, The Cabinet Minister is so unfortunately relevant and timely you’d never think it was written in 1890.
